Georgian Football Federation President slams disrespectful actions toward Armenian fans

Georgian Football Federation President Levan Kobiashvili criticized fans who threw trash at Armenian supporters following a football match, Sputnik Georgia reports.

“Such behavior toward the visiting team’s fans is unacceptable. Through this completely unacceptable action, we insulted them and prevented our team from celebrating the victory together with their fans. These actions harm football and tarnish the international image of our country,” he said.

At the same time, Kobiashvili expressed gratitude to the respectful fans for the wonderful atmosphere, as well as to the Football Federation of Armenia for their warm and high-level reception during the first match.
