Speaking with Alpha News, journalist-researcher Ara Manoogian, grandson of Shahan Natalie, the organizer of Operation Nemesis, stated that it is impossible to befriend the Turks, as it was impossible to do so 100 years ago.

“Shahan Natalie organized the Nemesis retaliation operation, which was called a special operation at the time. Nemesis, by the way, was Shahan Natalie’s name in this operation. Shahan documented the entire history of the operation to ensure that if something were to happen to him, Armenians would not forget how to confront the Turks. Back then, Armenians did not believe that Talaat Pasha could be stopped, just as Nikol Pashinyan does not believe that we can fight Turks today,” he said.

According to Manoogian, we must learn from history.

“Shahan prepared these notes not only for publication but also to guide the next generation, who would continue this struggle and know what action plan to develop. Everything that Nikol Pashinyan is doing today mirrors what our leaders did in 1918-1920. History repeats itself, and we must learn to learn from it. Shahan Natalie left behind a kind of testament so that whoever leads Armenia must read and study this book,” Ara Manoogian said.
