One of prominent political movement of Georgia namely “Freedom Square” has turned into a political party. The movement was initiated last year just before national election of parliament which were conducted in October.
The movement played a significant role as string political force. However, the movement has now announced that it will continue its journey as an independent political force in political space of Georgia as well.
After the March 8 congress about this decision, the founder of movement Levan Tsiskaridze shared this information and express hopes for positive outcome. The founder of movement also emphasized that the movement’s future will be shaped independently, reflecting their growth as a political entity in Georgia.
According to founder of this new political party their primary focus will revolve around three key issues: justice, security, and freedom. Notably these were some of the issues outlined by Simon Janashia, another influential leader of the party, who explained the party’s vision for each burning issues of Georgia as well.
While speaking on this occasion about the political vision of party the leader of party underlined, that we aim to implement new law. As the non-discriminatory laws that serve the public good, rather than catering to the interests of a select few in power are very important for better future Georgia.
At the same he also underlined, establishment of independent institutions like police, prosecutors, and the judiciary are need of hour for ensuring the fair enforcement of these laws and safeguarding the rights of Georgian public.
While taking about security Janashia highlighted the necessity of strengthening both national and individual security in Georgia. He said, ensuring independent security would provide a solid foundation for citizens’ safety and well-being.
Regarding sharing his views on issues of freedom, the party advocates for a comprehensive understanding of the concept. According to Janashia, this vision of freedom in Georgia will goes beyond simply being free from excessive regulations.
