Oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, accused of crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, terrorism, financing terrorism, and other serious offenses under the Azerbaijani Criminal Code, has released an audio message through his family, according to Minval, citing Armenian media.
In his statement, Vardanyan claimed that he feels “well, energetic, and has no health issues,” thereby debunking the false narratives spread by the Armenian side and his defense team.
Vardanyan’s legal representatives have launched a large-scale campaign for his release, with millions being funneled into lobbying efforts, propaganda, and controlled media outlets to construct the image of a so-called “prisoner of conscience.” Various international organizations have also attempted to pressure Baku. However, as experience shows, political manipulation cannot influence an objective judicial process.
