TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) – A senior member of the Hezbollah movement has censured the Lebanese government’s handling of the Thursday crisis at the capital Beirut’s airport, stressing that maintaining fair relations with Iran is in Lebanon’s interest.

Mikheil Sarjveladze the health minister today visited Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital. He visited this hospital today to mark International Children  canver day.

Childhood Cancer Day is celebrated every year on February 15. The minister during his visit also met patients while interacting with them get information about their health, treatment and recovery as well. The minister during his visit there congratulated one of the patients with an oncological diagnosis who had completed treatment on his recovery.

At the same time the minister also visited other beneficiaries and got acquainted with their treatment process on site. He assured them all possible assistance for ensuring world class treatment with latest techniques also.

It is worth noting that the minister of health noted that protecting the best interests of the child is a priority of the Ministry – for this purpose, programs that provide patients with access to high-quality medical services will be continued and further developed.

The event was attended by doctors, nurses, administration representatives and Tinatin Chkhvimiani, founder of the “Beri Andria Charitable Foundation”. All beneficiaries with an oncological diagnosis under the age of 18 are getting treatment under schemes which are being fully funded by the state.

These programs are meant to provide them treatment at affordable prizes both in Georgia and in leading, high-tech medical institutions in Spain, Israel and Turkey.

Notably the main objective of the day celebration is to spread awareness among the childhood cancer so that maximum children can come to know about their health status as soon as possible also.

According to health experts the early detection of cancer can save million of lives every year from loss. Moreover, early starting of treatment can also reduce cost of treatment as at the early stage the problem can be cured with just treatment with medicines and do not required any surgical or complex issues.

The patients expressed their gratitude to health minister. They said that this is greater move of health ministry and this will help many children suffering from serious health problems.
