Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with European Council President António Costa on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the Armenia-European Union cooperation agenda.

The Prime Minister highlighted EU’s continued support for the consistent promotion of democratic reforms in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the full implementation of the reform agenda is one of the priorities of the Armenian Government.

At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that Armenia attaches importance to expanding and developing multilateral ties with the EU aimed at developing capabilities in various fields.

António Costa welcomed the steps of the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at strengthening democracy and implementing institutional reforms. At the same time, the President of the European Council expressed the EU’s commitment to strengthening the partnership based on common values and deepening cooperation in all areas.

The interlocutors discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the possibilities of unblocking regional communication routes, and issues related to the “Crossroads of Peace” project of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

At the same time, António Costa highlighted and welcomed the steps and initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at peace.

The reviving of the liberated territories and integration them into Azerbaijan are being continued, Azernews reports.
As is known, Azerbaijan has an ambitious plan to turn the liberated territories into a Green Energy Zone. One estimate suggests that the green energy potential of these territories amounts to 10 GW, and the country intends to realize the bulk of this potential. In this regard, the government has launched several power stations into operation. One of them is the Gulebird Small Hydroelectric Power Station.
