Tbilisi: The Georgian conscripts living in the regions of Eastern Georgia who voluntarily registered for the National Military Service of Conscripts passed a medical examination. The medical examination was conducted at the Giorgi Abramishvili Military Hospital in Gori.

As per the information based on the results of the medical commission, the conscripts will be now sent to military units and after completing the initial combat training course will begin their national military service for 6 or 8 months.

It is also worth to note that some of the conscripts registered on the website conscript.mod.gov.ge, while others applied to the local military unit of their own free will have successfully passed all medical examinations.

As per the military rules before being called up making a voluntary application allows citizens to choose from the 6, 8, or 11-month terms of the National Military Service of Conscripts, before its recruitment and to receive a 30% supplement to the specified salary.

Whereas for a 6-month term conscripts will serve in a combat unit and their accrued pay will be 765 GEL per month. For an 8-month term conscripts will serve in a combat support and combat support unit once every three days and will receive an accrued pay of 635 GEL per month.
