Opposition have lost significance in national political space: PM Kobakhidze


Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minster of Georgia slammed opposition parties once again. PM Kobakhidze said there is no taker for ideology being spread by opposition parties of country.

While speaking further about the development, PM  said, nowadays domestic opposition political parties’ presence does not matter either inside or outside parliament. Georgian. They have lost public trust and have no ground for survival.

These sharp comments came from Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze as a response to ongoing boycott call by members belonging to opposition partis who were elected to raise voice of common man in parliament. These opposition members were elected last year parliament election held on October 16, 2024.

Prime Minister was speaking to media houses when he criticises opposition partied of continue boycott. As per PM, Georgian Dream is doing every possible actin to make Georgia stable and strong in every aspect of life.

It is worth to note that Georgian opposition parties have claimed that “Our boycott call is aimed to protest undemocratic steps taken by Georgian Dreamt to rig the elections.”

While condemning leaders of opposition parties, PM said false narrative are being created by leaders of domestic opposition to mislead common citizens of country. The opposition political parties are doing this to gain personal interests.”

The rallies called by opposition parties failed to attract public attention. Moreover, the public have come to know real intention of opposition parties and their false propaganda to damage image of Georgian Dream.

Maximum people attending rallies per day is not more than five hundered.Moreover they are people who have nothing to do with national interests. They are paid people who came to rallies, claimed Prime Minister.

According to PM, Georgian Dream is very clear about its agenda. The government under rule of Georgian Dream have foiled every threat posed by demonstrators. We have eliminated funding sources of these demonstrators as they have no respect of law and constitution of country. More such steps will be taken in future is required to tackle any untoward threat.
