On November 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, and Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Azernews reports.

Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (AKAF) has organized a swim in the waters of the Baku Boulevard under the motto “Row in clean water!” in support of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Azernews reports.

“I am proud to present the Baku Declaration on Global Climate Transparency. The declaration underscores our collective commitment to promoting transparency and international cooperation. The declaration will work in parallel with the Baku Transparency Platform,” Azernews reports, citing the Ecology and Natural Resources Minister, COP29 Presidenr-designate Mukhtar Babayev within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

A total of 11 countries presented biennial transparency reports (BTR) within the framework of COP29 in Baku, Azernews reports, citing Noura Hamladji, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), telling at the “Ministerial Round Table on Global Climate Transparency” with the participation of ministers within the framework of COP29.

“I am very glad that the COP29 conference is being held in Azerbaijan, one of the post-Soviet countries. This is an excellent opportunity for Central Asian countries to share their climate problems,”Azernews reports, citing Nurzat Abdirasulova the founder and president of Kyrgyzstan’s “Unison Group” company, as he told in an interview with an Azerbaijani media outlet.
