Vladimir Putin arrived in Mongolia late Monday after receiving assurances ahead of his trip that he won’t be arrested for alleged war crimes under a warrant from the International Criminal Court, according to two people familiar with the Kremlin’s preparations. Russian President Vladimir Putin was in Mongolia for an official visit on Tuesday, his first to an International Criminal Court (ICC) member since it issued a warrant for his arrest last year.Kyiv had urged Mongolia to execute the arrest warrant, while the ICC said last week all its members had an “obligation” to detain those sought by the court.
