The Left-Wing New Popular Front asserted its readiness to govern France despite holding a minority status in parliament. The coalition, comprising progressive parties and movements, outlined its vision for steering the country through a pivotal period marked by economic recovery and social reforms.
Led by prominent figures from various left-leaning factions, including the Socialist Party, Green Party, and other smaller leftist groups, the New Popular Front aims to capitalize on recent political shifts and public discontent with traditional centrist policies.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Samantha Power, head of the International Development Agency of the United States of America.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the digital transformation agenda of Armenia, emphasizing the continuous support of the United States in that direction. In particular, they emphasized the importance of digitization in the fields of strengthening democracy, developing human capital, economy and financial system, ensuring trust in public institutions and protecting human rights. Reference was also made to the joint work carried out in the direction of optimization of public services in Armenia, improvement of the legislative framework for the purpose of strengthening cyber security, as well as the development of cloud technologies with the support of the US Agency for International Development.
Samantha Power announced that the International Development Agency is launching a $5 million partnership with Amazon Web Services to implement cloud infrastructure and capacity building in Armenia.
The meeting was followed by the statement of Samantha Power, head of the US Agency for International Development.
On July 10, the Secretary of the Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the manager of the USAID (USAID) Samantha Power.
The Secretary of the Council of Armenia welcomed the visit of the delegation led by Samantha Power to Armenia and emphasized that the progress of the programs implemented by the agency in our country is appreciated.
The interlocutors discussed the humanitarian situation created as a result of Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing policy, in the context of which the SC secretary presented the steps taken by the RA government to support the forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh.
The parties referred to the “Crossroads of Peace” project presented by the RA government, within the framework of which they discussed the prospects of its implementation.
