The Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova, spoke at the 1st meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament on May 17 as part of her official visit to Geneva, Switzerland, Azernews reports.

Engineering support measures are ongoing – VIDEO
More than 254 hectares of territory were completely cleared of mines in the liberated territories in May this year as a result of the activities of the units and subunits of the Engineering Troops of Azerbaijan Army.
37583 hectares of land were cleared from mines and unexploded ordnance by the Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units in the liberated territories up to date. Totally, 10463 anti-personnel mines, 3318 anti-tank mines and 12814 unexploded ordnance were detected.
Necessary engineering support measures, in which the main efforts are focused on demining settlements, sowing plots, roads and infrastructure facilities, continue as planned.

Cari ilin may ayı ərzində azad edilmiş ərazilərdə Azərbaycan Ordusunun Mühəndis Qoşunlarının hissə və bölmələrinin fəaliyyəti nəticəsində 254 hektardan çox ərazi minalardan tam təmizlənib.
İşğaldan azad edilmiş ərazilərdə bu günə kimi mühəndis-istehkam bölmələri tərəfindən 37583 hektar ərazi mina və partlamamış döyüş sursatlarından təmizlənib. Ümumilikdə 10463 ədəd piyada əleyhinə, 3318 ədəd tank əleyhinə mina və 12814 ədəd partlamamış döyüş sursatı aşkarlanaraq məhv edilib.
Əsas səylərin azad edilmiş ərazilərdə yaşayış məntəqələri, əkin sahələri, yollar və infrastruktur obyektlərinə yönəldildiyi mühəndis təminatı üzrə zəruri tədbirlər plana uyğun davam etdirilir.

В результате деятельности частей и подразделений инженерных войск Азербайджанской Армии в мае текущего года было полностью очищено от мин более 254 гектаров освобожденных территорий.
На сегодняшний день инженерно-сапёрными подразделениями очищено от мин и неразорвавшихся боеприпасов 37583 гектаров освобожденных территорий. В целом, было обнаружено 10463 единиц противопехотных, 3318 единиц противотанковых и 12814 единиц неразорвавшихся боеприпасов.
Необходимые меры по инженерному обеспечению, при которых основные усилия направлены на разминирование населенных пунктов, посевных площадей, дорог и объектов инфраструктуры продолжаются в соответствии с планом.
