Leadership of the Defense Ministry meets with reservists
The First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev and the Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Land Forces, Lieutenant General Hikmat Mirzayev met with the reservists involved in the mobilization training session.
During the meeting, Colonel General K.Valiyev spoke about the positive results of the successful reforms carried out in Azerbaijan Army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The First Deputy Minister of Defense noted the importance of regularly conducting training sessions in order to continue the activities on mobilization training and formation of mobilization resources in a planned manner, and to maintain the combat readiness of reservists at a high level.
The Chief of the General Staff inquired about the provision of servicemen and practical training conducted. He delivered the instructions of the Defense Minister to the relevant officials on the adaptation of exercises, conducted to further increase servicemen’s professional level and effectively use new weapons and military equipment available in the armament, to real combat conditions and the usage of technological innovations.
Specific tasks on further improving the quality of exercises, as well as increasing the professionalism of the military personnel involved were assigned to military units’ commanders.
