In a traditional Easter gesture, President Salome Zurabishvili pardoned 25 inmates on May 2.

16 inmates, including 4 women, are fully released from serving their sentences, and 8 inmates, including one woman, would have their remaining sentences reduced. The act of amnesty also affected two probationers, who were fully released from further serving the conditional jail sentence.
