Protests against Georgia’s foreign agent law are set to resume after police beat and violently dispersed protesters and journalists gathered outside Georgia’s parliament on Tuesday night. The law’s first hearing will continue in parliament from noon, after MPs failed to vote on the law amidst heated discussion.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated representatives of the Yazidi community of Armenia on New Year, Malake Taus.

“The Government of the Republic of Armenia makes continuous efforts so that the representatives of the communities representing the national minorities of our country, including the Yazidi community, can maintain and develop their national identity, as well as have proper opportunities for cultural and religious self-expression, education, and we will continue this policy,” PM Pashinyan said in the message.

“We also emphasize equal opportunities for economic activity for the benefit of everyone’s individual and general well-being of our state,” he added.
