Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has offered condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the deadly attack on Crocus City Hall that left at least 60 people killed and more than 100 wounded.

“Armenia strongly condemns this inhumane crime against the civilian population,” the Prime Minister said.

“We mourn together with the people of Russia and send words of sorrow and support to the families and relatives of the victims who suffered irreparable loss.”

At least 60 people were killed when gunmen attacked a packed concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow.

“The bodies of the deceased are currently being examined. It is provisionally established that more than 60 people died in the terrorist attack. Unfortunately, the number of victims could rise,” said the Investigative Committee charged with overseeing the response to the attack.

More than 100 others were wounded at the Crocus City Hall, according to the FSB Federal Security Service.

In the deadliest attack in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege, gunmen sprayed civilians with bullets just before Soviet-era rock group “Picnic” was to perform to a full house at the 6,200-seat the Crocus City Hall just west of the capital.

Islamic State, the militant group that once sought control over swathes of Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the attack, the group’s Amaq agency said on Telegram.

A grainy picture was published by some Russian media of two of the alleged attackers in a white car.

“We strongly condemn the terrible assault at the Crocus City in Moscow. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of innocent victims, as well as to the people and government of the Russian Federation. We wish a swift recovery to all those injured,” Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac.

“Azerbaijan, as a country suffering from terrorism, condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism,” the ministry added.

Parliament speakers Sahiba Gafarova of Azerbaijan and Alen Simonyan of Armenia have held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac.

The meeting was organized at the initiative and with the mediation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The sides discussed in what form the parliaments of the two countries could support the peace process at the backdrop of the ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

They agreed to consider conducting a dialogue on the parliamentary level.

The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere.

The Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan has expressed gratitude to the people of Azerbaijan for the support they provided after the tragedy in Crocus City Hall, spokesperson of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, Yelizaveta Glerezka, said, accordig to Report.

Information about the involvement of Tajik citizens in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall is fake, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said in a statement.

A drone attack on Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region has killed one civilian and left another two wounded, while later the death toll rose to two and the number of those injured rose to five.
