French President Emmanuel Macron and his Moldovan counterpart, Maia Sandu, are due to sign a defense pact, the Elysee Palace said on March 6, amid warnings that Russia is seeking to destabilize the southeastern European nation ahead of presidential elections and a plebiscite on membership in the European Union later this year.
Azerbaijan Defense Minister#039;s visit to Türkiye continues
The delegation led by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, met with the Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of Türkiye, Mr. Haluk Gorgun.
During the meeting, also attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the military-technical sphere, as well as on joint projects and a number of issues of mutual interest.
