Turkish MFA issued a statement regarding the Israeli attacks on Rafah city in Gaza, Report informs.

Under the high patronage of President Gérard Larcher, the French Senate will host today a round table on Strengthening and developing French-Armenian decentralized cooperation.

Parliamentarians, local elected officials, French and Armenian diplomats will share their experiences around four topics: the political and geopolitical situation in Armenia a few months after Azerbaijan’s offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh; the issues and needs of Armenian communities in the face of Armenia’s security and diplomatic challenges; the Senate’s support for Armenia through its parliamentary diplomacy; news of French-Armenian decentralized cooperation.

Loïc Hervé, Vice-President of the Senate in charge of interparliamentary cooperation and interparliamentary friendship groups: “This round table marks a further step in the support provided by the Senate to Armenia. We thus hope to further strengthen partnerships between local authorities of the two countries, in a context where the challenges have never been so important.”

The EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, was summoned to the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry expressed concern over the activities of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia.

Baku says the Mission “contradicts the initially reached agreements, raises serious concerns.” It accuses EUMA of being a “propaganda tool” against Azerbaijan.

Last week EU Ambassador Peter Michalko said the allegations in some Azerbaijani media outlets were “absolutely baseless.”

He underlined that EUMA is a civilian, unarmed mission and its mandate is to observe. “The presence of the mission aims to contribute to stability and confidence building. The EU will continue its efforts to support peace settlement between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the diplomat said in a post on X.

Reuters:  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview published on Sunday that his country was not Russia’ ally in its war against Ukraine, but stressed its military cooperation projects were not directed against any single country.
