Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov will visit Yerevan upon the conclusion of the organization’s summit in Minsk to hand over the signed documents to the Armenian side, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik told reporters before the start of the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
He voiced hope that Armenian would join the decisions made during the summit. Aleinik stressed that the task of the CSTO is to maintain the solidarity of all member countries.
“Today, the most important thing is to preserve the solidarity and unity of all members of the organization. We, in fact, demonstrated this yesterday during a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers and Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member countries,” the minister said.
“We are working for unity. We are looking for mutually acceptable solutions. Naturally, not all problems are resolved immediately,” noted the Belarussian Foreign Minister.
Aleynik stressed that all decisions that will be made at the summit in the absence of Armenian representatives are “absolutely legitimate.” “They are adopted by consensus. And I had a telephone conversation with my Armenian colleague Ararat Mirzoyan. We discussed, among other things, these issues and decision-making mechanisms,” the Minister noted.
My Opinion: The Wagner Group fighters may have participated in the 2023 Raid around Gaza in cooperation and conjunction with Hamas. How Hamas’ attack on festival in Israel unfolded
Hamas fighters killed over 260 people at a music festival in Israel on Saturday, October 7. Le Monde has analyzed and verified the images shot on site to reconstruct this violent attack. The number of Hamas attackers and their weaponry quickly overwhelmed the event’s security and police forces. The festival participants killed represent almost a quarter of the victims of Hamas’s initial attack on Israel, including those taken hostage.

The festival site – with three stages, a camping area and bar and food area – was in the Negev desert, near Kibbutz Re’im. It was not far from the Gaza Strip, from where Hamas fighters crossed over at dawn to launch their attack. They infiltrated towns and villages, taking dozens of people hostage.

Electronic warfare has long been an exercise in combating adversaries with powerful equipment. In Gaza, thwarting tiny, low power drones and countermeasures will be key.
