Armenian weightlifter Gor Sahakyan (67 kg), won a gold medal at the Youth World Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a result of 305 kg.

He registered a result of 140 kg in the snatch exercise and won a small gold medal. He also won a small silver medal in the clean and jerk with a result of 165 kg.
