Oil and gas are commodities that have left their mark on the world economy in the last two hundred years. All big countries raced to keep oil production under their control and even risked waging wars in this direction.

Germany announced on Monday that it will double its military aid to Ukraine in 2024, bringing the total amount to more than 5.4 billion euros ($6 billion).

The German government said that the increased aid will include more tanks, anti-aircraft systems, artillery, ammunition, and training for the Ukrainian armed forces. Germany will also provide humanitarian assistance and support for the reform of the security sector in Ukraine.
