Magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit 21 km southeast of the city of Parsabat near the Iranian-Azerbaijani border at 09:18 ;local time (05:18 GMT).

According to the Seismic Protection Service of the Armenian Ministry of Interior, the quake was registered at the depth of 10 km and the intensity reached 7 at the epicenter.
