Armenian Youth Foundation achieves milestone

WATERTOWN, Mass.—At its meeting on October 14, the Armenian Youth Foundation Board of Directors awarded four new grants for the 2023 cycle, totaling $40,297.

“This is a new milestone for the Foundation,” Chairman Stepan Kanarian stated. “The Board manages a Capital Fund of $732,000, which is an accumulation of all the donations ever made to the Foundation. Today, our accumulated grant awards of $782,000 have surpassed our accumulated Capital Fund.” The Foundation takes pride in preserving all the donations it receives, with an operating policy to use net profits to fund worthy Armenian youth organizations and activities.

The 2023 grants were awarded to the Armenian Youth Federation’s Junior Seminar Program, Armenian Sisters Academy in Radnor, Pennsylvania, St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School in Watertown, Massachusetts and the Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America in Glendale, California.

“The Foundation has awarded over 120 grants to some 20 plus organizations, with Camp Haiastan being our largest beneficiary,” stated Grants Chairman Daron Topouzian. Additionally, Armenian schools, the Armenian Youth Federation’s national and local chapters, as well as a variety of dance and choral groups look to the Foundation for capital improvements and program funding.

Vice-Chairman Bob Tutunjian added, “With responsible and conservative investment management, we continue to retain every dollar ever donated to our Capital Fund as we hope to preserve the Armenian identity, history and culture through our financial support of Armenian American youth.”

The Armenian Youth Foundation Inc., known to its supporters as the “Foundation,” has been raising funds through donations and fundraisers for nearly 50 years, solely dedicated to making grants to Armenian American youth programs and activities. If you would like to make a donation that will serve more of these programs, please visit: www.armenianyouthfoundation.com.
