A 3.3 magnitude earthquake jolted the Caspian Sea on Sunday, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac, citing the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The quake, at a depth of 62 km, was recorded at 06:09 local time.

President Ilham Aliyev sends a congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister of Hungary on the occasion of the National Holiday of Hungary, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac.
The letter reads as follows:
To His Excellency Mr. Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
I cordially congratulate you and your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the National Holiday of Hungary.
It is gratifying to see high-level interstate ties and successful collaboration between Azerbaijan and Hungary. We are very pleased to see day-by-day broadening of our relations based on mutual trust and support and its enriching with new contents as a fine token of strong friendship and partnership.
I wish to stress, in particular, the constructive mutual activities and support in the framework of international and regional organizations coupled with the similar positions of our countries over current global and regional issues.
I am confident that by our joint efforts, we will succeed to further deepen the enhanced strategic partnership between our countries, as well as our bilateral and multilateral mutually beneficial collaboration, particularly within the Organization of Turkic States.

“Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – 2023” joint tactical exercises with the participation of military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army and the Turkish Armed Forces have started, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.
Up to 3000 military personnel from various types of troops of both countries, 130 pieces of armored vehicles, up to 100 artillery vehicles, more than 20 aviation and aircraft as well as engineering equipment and small boats are involved in total.
The exercises accomplish various tasks on the application of artillery, aviation and other types of troops in military operations using modern combat methods, organization of their activities in interaction, building pontoon bridges to open the passage over rivers and descending in the depths of the imaginary enemy.
The main focus of “Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – 2023” joint tactical exercises is on ensuring combat interoperability, improving management, exchanging experience and increasing the professionalism of the servicemen during the troops’ interaction.
