Colonel Anar Eyvazov: “We call the Armenian armed forces formations to lay down their arms and surrender” – VIDEO
On September 20, the Ministry of Defense held another briefing for media representatives.
Head of the Press Service, Colonel Anar Eyvazov, at a briefing said: “The local anti-terrorist activities carried out by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh economic region continue.
In the course of the local anti-terrorist activities, 6 “Ural” military vehicles filled with mortar shells, and 4 mortars belonging to the Armenian armed forces formations were taken as war booty by the Azerbaijan Army Units.
In response to the disinformation of various natures that is widely disseminated in Armenian social media networks aimed at causing confusion among the international community, as well as to the false information that the Azerbaijan Armed Forces allegedly subject to fire civilian vehicles and ambulances I note that by taking advantage of the information technologies available in our modern era, all these unfounded claims can be proven to be baseless. So, if the opposing side’s claims had a real basis or were justified, they would post photos or videos on social media networks. I would also note that in order to form a false opinion in the international community, the possibility of the planned implementation of such crimes by the opposing side and accusing the Azerbaijani side of this is not excluded.
As part of the actions carried out by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces, civilians and civilian facilities are not attacked; Azerbaijan Army Units neutralize only legitimate military targets.
I would like to draw your attention to another important issue. The Armenian armed forces formations that are running out of ammunition, are leaving their long-term fortifications and reorganizing in residential areas. Besides this, they are trying to forcibly arm and involve the civilian population of the Karabakh region in combat positions.
We once again call on the formations of the Armenian armed forces stationed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan to lay down their weapons and surrender, and we declare that only in this case anti-terrorist activities will be stopped.
At the same time, we urge the Armenians living in the region to stay away from the Armenian armed forces’ formations and not to support them. The Azerbaijan Army’s servicemen use printed leaflets to deliver these calls in various methods to local residents and gunmen.
I present to you the mentioned facts and leaflets with the support of the technical staff.
Moreover, the information spread on some Armenian social media networks that the Azerbaijan Armed Forces allegedly subjected to fire the positions of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, temporarily stationed in the territory of Azerbaijan, while evacuating residents of Armenian origin, and the civilian convoy accompanied by them, is false and disinformation. In response to such unfounded claims, I declare that we are constantly in operational contact with the peacekeeping contingent and we are creating all conditions necessary for them to fulfill their duties.
Currently, local anti-terrorist activities of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces are ongoing. The Azerbaijan Army Units control the current situation.
The public will be regularly provided with additional information.”
During the briefing, videos reflecting the mentioned facts were shown to media representatives.

Полковник Анар Эйвазов: «Призываем формирования вооруженных сил Армении сложить оружие и сдаться»
20 сентября Министерством обороны Азербайджанской Республики был проведён очередной брифинг для представителей СМИ.
Выступивший на брифинге начальник пресс-службы полковник Анар Эйвазов, заявил: «Антитеррористические мероприятия локального характера, проводимые Вооруженными Силами Азербайджанской Республики в Карабахском экономическом районе, продолжаются.
В ходе проведённых мероприятий подразделениями Вооруженных Сил Азербайджана в качестве трофеев были захвачены 6 военных автомобилей марки «Урал», полных минометных снарядов, и 4 миномёта, принадлежащие формированиям вооруженных сил Армении.
В ответ на дезинформацию различного характера, массово публикуемую на некоторых аккаунтах в армянском сегменте социальных медиа с целью ввести в заблуждение международную общественность, в том числе распространяемую ложную информацию о том, что Вооруженные Силы Азербайджана якобы подвергают обстрелу гражданские автомобили, машины Скорой медицинской помощи, заявляю, что эти необоснованные утверждения можно было бы доказать при помощи современных информационных технологий. Так, при наличии реальных основ подобных утверждений противника, в социальных медиа-ресурсах были бы представлены соответствующие фотографии или видеозаписи. Не исключена вероятность того, что противник планомерно осуществляет подобные преступления и обвиняет азербайджанскую сторону с тем, чтобы сформировать у международной общественности неправильное представление о происходящем.
Вооружённые Силы Азербайджанской Республики не берут на прицел гражданское население и объекты гражданской инфраструктуры, с применением высокоточного оружия нейтрализуются только законные военные цели.
Хочу обратить внимание и на другой важный момент. Формирования вооруженных сил Армении, у которых заканчиваются боеприпасы, покидают долговременные фортификационные сооружения и переформировываются в населенных пунктах, одновременно пытаясь привлечь на боевые позиции мирное население Карабахского региона путем принудительного вооружения.
Еще раз призываем формирования вооруженных сил Армении, расположенные в Карабахском регионе Азербайджана, сложить оружие и сдаться, заявляем, что только в этом случае антитеррористические меры будут приостановлены.
В то же время призываем проживающих в регионе армянских жителей не находится рядом с формированиями вооруженных сил Армении и не оказывать им никакого содействия. Наши военнослужащие различными средствами передают эти призывы местным жителям и вооруженным на листовках.
При содействии технического персонала представляю вашему вниманию упомянутые факты и листовки.
Кроме того, размещенная на некоторых аккаунтах в армянском сегменте социальных медиа информация о том, что Вооруженные Силы Азербайджана якобы подвергали обстрелу позицию российского миротворческого контингента, временно дислоцированного на территории Азербайджана, эвакуировавшего жителей армянского происхождения, и сопровождаемую миротворцами гражданскую колонну, не соответствует действительности и носит дезинформационный характер. В ответ на такие необоснованные утверждения заявляю, что мы постоянно находимся в оперативном контакте с миротворческим контингентом и со своей стороны создаем необходимые условия для выполнения миротворцами своих обязанностей.
В настоящее время продолжаются антитеррористические мероприятия локального характера, проводимые Вооруженными Силами. Оперативная обстановка находится под контролем наших подразделений.
Общественности и впредь будет регулярно предоставляться дополнительная информация».
В ходе брифинга представителям СМИ также были представлены видеоматериалы, в которых отражены упомянутые факты.

The National Bank of Georgia issued a statement alerting the public to the amendment to its regulation that the Bank’s president promulgated and published in the official gazette today, and that would shield Otar Partskhaladze, sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury, from his assets and transactions being targeted in Georgia. This represents the reversal of the decision published yesterday by the National Bank and follows the subsequent criticism of that decision by the ruling party chairman, Irakli Kobakhidze.
The new statement by the National Bank says while the Bank faithfully implements the international sanctions regime, sanctioning of Partskhaladze “sets a precedent when sanctions are applied to the Georgian citizen.”
Taking the line voiced by Kobakhidze yesterday, the statement reads, “The Georgian citizens are protected by the Constitution” the Bank, “being guided by the Constitution of Georgia and the presumption of innocence, considers that the Georgian citizen can not be subjected to international sanctions, in the absence of the conviction by the Georgian court.”
It continues to state that according to the amendment promulgated today, neither Georgian citizens nor the companies owned or co-owned by them can be sanctioned in the absence of a conviction by the Georgian court.
In June 2023, the ruling Georgian Dream voted to override the Presidential veto on the amendments to the Law on the National Bank. The President agreed with the National Bank’s view that the amendments would have risked its independence. According to the amendments that entered into force, Natia Turnava, former Minister of Economy, was appointed the First Vice-President of NBG.
In April 2023, the U.S. imposed visa restrictions on four top Georgian judges, saying “these individuals abused their positions as court Chairmen and Members of High Council of Justice, undermining the rule of law and the public’s faith in Georgia’s judicial system”
